CSS Toy Drive 2007

We'll be having our annual toy drive on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007 in the AJ Airpark LZ from 2-4 PM. Collected toys will be added to the local fire station's toy collection efforts for them to distribute to the community.

We'll provide holiday beverages and cookies and other goodies from 2 to 4. If it's a flyable day, we'll be flying. If not, we'll just pile up the toys and take a picture. Weather permitting, the firemen may come out to pick up the toys.

CSS 2008 Wall Calendar

Dianne McKenzie and photographer Julie Haynes have been collecting a mixture of HG and PG photos over the last year for a CSS 2008 Calendar. Ken Scott, a member who works at Xerox has laid the calendar out and had 200 copies printed.

The calendar looks GREAT!
Lots of beautiful flying photos and fun photos of members and fly-in crowds.

$20 each. Mailing one within California costs $5, slightly more for multiple copies or out-of-state.

Tuesday, 23 Oct, road in Verdemont looking East. SW of Palm Ave there was little wind.

SB Mountains TFR for Fires - 25 Oct 07

The highways into the mountains are closed and there are firefighting aircraft criss-crossing the area. Also, President Bush is supposed to be in the vicinity sometime Thursday, 10/25. The TFR will probably be in effect for several more days.
