Hello fellow pilots.
Paul Borne left this world one year ago, doing and enjoyed what he liked best, flying his paraglider at Soboba. He was a Founding Member and a great contributor to Soboba Soaring. He was a good friend of mine, and a very special friend to my son Danny, who is the custodian of our site. In Memory of Paul on the anniversary of his death, Danny has planned a hike up the mountain to the site where Paul has fallen and died. I and many others plan to take the walk (regardless of weather) and show our respect to a dear friend and fellow pilot.
We plan to be on “his spot” at 2:30 pm and observe a moment of silence at 3:01 pm, the time that he passed away.
We encourage you to bring your wing and fly down if the weather permits.
Sandwiches, chips, drinks, a warm fire and camaraderie after the event.
Paul’s videos (flying, stuntman, climbing) will be shown.
Paul Bourne Memorial. Sunday 24th November, 2013. (Come rain or come shine)

Arrive at Soboba Flight Park around 1pm to get shuttle up to 650’ launch site.
