Visiting Lua today

Forums:

We are visiting Lua today. Post best wishes and we will read them to her

Wishing the best for you Lua. You are missed by all and we can't wait to have you back with us.

(She broke her neck, pelvis, shoulder and more. She was due for surgery tomorrow on her neck. She is at the Antelope Valley Hospital and can usually accept visitors. She needs help eating and drinking and adjusting her bed. She is in lots of pain and the meds don't seem to last between servings.)

Get better. Seeing your smiling face around the LZ is part of the fun.

A very selfish wish, but there you have it.

Lua I can not wait to come see you again!! It is crazy that someone can be as strong as you!!! You are so amazing how you can still be funny when going thru so much! My favorite part of my visit was when you grabbed the aqua sponge with your teeth!! HILLARIOUS! also of course when you asked me....did the doctor say how long no fly?...LOVE you so much!! Melissa Sophia Rain and myself are thinking of you non stop and know you will come back strong as ever!! this is a great oppertunity to get stronger and healthier than EVER!! Take advantage and make it happen Lua you got this!  I hope to make it there before Friday :) see you SOON! - LOVE - Jeremy and family :) - I know you will crack up on this one.......'Oh by the way, Marshall was SIK last night'

;)

Lua,
We all love you so much.
Very Sorry this happened to you.
So Very glad you are alive!
I have been in that hospital bed. It really Sucks.
But you are a strong woman and you will overcome this set back.
Can not wait to have you back at AJX, and later on Marshal, and then back in the air where you belong.
Here is to a fast, and complete recovery.
The Rhodes family
Dusty, Kathy, Ashley

Wishing you a speedy recovery, Lua. I hope to see your smiling just-landed eyes in the LZ soon.

A few weeks ago, Marc and I were at Marshall setting up our wings and it was pretty rowdy. She was the only other person on launch and she happily helped us with nose wires. Really appreciated that and she is always super quick to help anyone out. Very sorry to hear about the accident at the Owens and hoping for a speedy and thorough recovery.

Wish you all the best Lua, thanks for all you do.  Your an inspiration to fly with, I always look to see where your going because I know your heading for some great air.  Get well soon, your in our prayers now :)

Lua,

I heard about your accident on Sunday at Marshall.  Everyone was very upset, and there wasn't a person there who doesn't have you in thier thoughts and prayers. You're one of the toughest women at the mountain, and I have no doubt it will help you through the next few weeks.

Hi Lua!

I'm so sorry to hear about your crash! :(  I suppose it happens to all of us if we fly long enough.  I'm sorry to hear yours was so harsh, but sounds like it's all "recoverable" and you'll be out flying our friendly skies again in no time!!! :)  I wish you a super fast recovery, my friend!

Get Well Soon!

Seen Lua a bunch of times , in the past ; always smiling and generally an

awesome person that seamed to always be in a Good mood !!!

Hope she has a Full recovery ; both physically and mentally .

On a side note ---  if there is anything to be learned from her mishap ; could

someone explain how her crash happened ; and what were the circumstances

which led to her laying in the desert so long , before being rescued ?

Hearing about this , makes me want to get a SPOT locator for myself ; the waterproof

one would even work for my kiteboarding , to call for immediate rescue ? Or doesn't it

work that way ??

You once said that you wanted to be able to fly like me, right after I wanged down into the LZ.

Well, you flew like me, all full of piss and vinegar, and like me you found yourself in pain. But I'm still here, and you will be back before you know it, I got faith in you and God and neither have ever let me down. I'm hoping that someone heading up to see you will take me along, so I get to see your pretty smile again. If you're having trouble smiling I'll sneak in a dose that will do the trick. Meanwhile you keep a stiff upper lip and offer Thanks that you made it this far. Gratitude heals well!
