DEVORE, Calif. (KABC) --
Firefighters are battling a 300-acre brush fire in Devore near the Cajon Pass that broke out Tuesday morning.
High temperatures and heavy fuel caused the fire to quickly spread from five acres to 300 acres within less than an hour of it starting. Firefighters are dealing with 10 mph winds that has caused small spot fires around the initial blaze to spark.
The 15 Freeway remained open as flames appeared to move away from traffic, but moved dangerously close to power lines.
