Monday, in an effort to discover whether the air that was trickling up Crestline launch was a rotor, I attached a telltale to a dry branch and held it high above my head.
You guessed it. That dry branch was probably poison oak. My hands started to itch a little but thought nothing of it, until they continued to itch today and were swollen this morning. I left the branch and telltale somewhere near launch. If you see them, please bury them or something.
Found the branch under the big tree that's just to the right of the paraglider launch, about ten feet toward the road from the trunk. Not a likely place to find an old dry stick of Toxicodendron diversilobum.
