Tepoxtepec Launch, Tenancingo The Tepoxtepec Launch is my favourite. It is a southeast facing paraglider launch. Strong but reliable conditions, with excellent cross-country options, and excellent retrieval through the system of taxis (6 pesos), that takes you to and from downtown, which is about a 10 – 15 minute ride. The only complaints that I ever hear from the people in the many landing areas below, and seriously, I hear this quite often - "Why don't you land in our field sometime? New Tepoxtepec lower launch opened
Today, feb 14th, myself, local pilot and organizer Daniel Pedroza, and with the help of the local neighbors that live on the hill, cleared and opened the new south-east facing Tepoxtepec lower launch. Not only will this be much less of a hike to reach, but now one may get airborne at the lower launch when conditions are too strong to launch above.
