2003 Toy Drive

A nice turnout for the 2003 Toy Drive on Dec. 20th. The mountainside in the background burned in the 'Old' fire 3 weeks earlier.

Crestline Jamboree Days Parade - 2001 - CSS Float at start

There's a little parade every July 4th weekend up in Crestline and some resident pilots and others got together and entered a float to represent the CSS. This is a view in 'Top Town' at the start of the event. Some signs were made at Wills Wing, Stan Koszelak set up his glider, his daughter helped manage a wing tip tether, his son was the 'pilot', and we used Ursula Edwards' truck (she was on the far wingtip tether) and Ken Howells drove.

This view is down in Crestline, on the main drag near the post office. Some signs were made at Wills Wing, Stan Koszelak setup his glider (his son Dan was the 'pilot'), and we used Ursula Edwards' truck. Sally Tucker and Rebar Dan DeWeese also helped out.

Toy Drive 2003

There was a good turnout for the 2003 Xmas Toy Drive. We collect toys every Holiday Season and donate them to distributiors - the nearby fire station and other charitable groups.

View from the Airpark toward the Marshall foothills on 28 Oct,2003, a couple of days after the fires started. All of the land around the Airpark was scorched barren, and we lost some railroad tie fencing.

The Andy Jackson Airpark sign with the LZ and Marshall Peak in the background. The LZ is the flat area above the boulder - just the slopes are visible, and Marshall Peak is above the 'k'.

Original Shade Structure

This is the orginal shade structure installed at the Andy Jackson Airpark when it opened in 1994. The structure was relocated from the temporary LZ we had use of after the original Pinecrest Airpark was closed for the construction of the Devil Canyon Power Plant Second Afterbay, about 1 mile west of the current airpark site
