Big Thank From New Mexico

Many thanks to everybody for making this trip for us New Mexico folks happen!!! We all had great flights and had some personal goals met.
Sorry we didn't make Soboba, but after Fridays epic day, nobody was ready to venture out. Well, later in the day on Sat the Glass off finally happened and when we thought we were going to get just sled rides, we ended up with 1.5hrs of smooth Glass off.

Again thank you Scotty, Jonny, Darrel, Bob and everybody else.

Marshall Peak & Surounding Next Weekend

I'm bringing a goup of about 5 of us next week March 27th. We will be ready to fly starting Friday March 28th but have never been to Marshall or the surrounding areas before.

I'm hoping to find someone who would be able to help us out with some site info.

Most of us are P3 or advanced P2 pilots.

Someone emailed me a while back but I lost his number.

Thanks,
T.Lee

Higher resolution YouTube videos

Since I see many recent posting referencing YouTube videos, this can help remove some eye strain...

If you add &fmt=18 to any YouTube URL, it will be more pleasing to your eyes.

Financial Statements

As a dues paying member of CSS how can I get a copy of the Club's financial statements for 2007, 2006 & 2005?

How is the Flying in March

We're planning on a trip somewhere and thinking about Marshall. We've never been there before and most of us are P3 pilots.

How is the weather typically towards the end of March for PG's?

Anyone in particular we should contact for local information?

What other sites are available close to Marshall that may be working at the end of March?

Any info is greatly welcomed!!

Thanks,
T.L

Elsinore LZ Usage Restrictions

On November 29th of last month, the landowners tried one more time to remove us from the LZ. Their attempt at a Stay was denied. With the guidance of John, joined now with Frank, the E-Team has made great strides to hold our position with the LZ. The Lawyers for the opposition have tried many times, with different avenues, to remove us, only to be rejected by the judge presiding over our case. I actually put my head in my hands listening to Gallagher make a fool of himself in front of the judge last Thursday. We have done well in court. We have been prepared and on the side of the law, each time. This is why we win each battle.

Larry Grimes Passes Away

More sad news I'm afraid. Pilot, friend and neighbor, Larry Grimes passed away last week from complications of cancer. http://www.legacy.com/PE/Obituaries.asp?Page=Notice&PersonID=98445952

Larry and his twin brother Garry shared a hang glider in the 80's. They both left the sport when they started to have families. Larry got back into flying, and was joined by his son Joey, about 4 years ago. Never one to do the same thing too often, Larry took his glider all over southern California.
