Friday OTB?

Friday is looking like a potential good OTB day with 11K over Silverwood Lake and 14-16K over the desert and SSE wind at 10 mph. Anyone interested in teaming up?

PTTFIAGOTB?

Punch Through The *&!$! Inversion And Go Over The Back?

(what's going to push the soup out?)

Black Hawk

Black Hawk Black Hawk Black Hawk Black Hawk Black Hawk Black Hawk

O.k.

Let's get us a driver and fly Blackhawk then, shall we?

SSE Winds = Minimal Inversion

JW -
In case I am unable to hook up w/ Kenny or anyone who wants to fly Blackhawk on Friday, the technique is to get up to 6500 or 7000 at Pine Flats and fly towards Silverwood Lake and bench up there.

The forecast is not that much different than the day me and Dave went OTB in our Sport 2s last year. We found some weird lift in the middle of Devil's Canyon and then got the big lift near Silverwood.

yikes

where's the bailout at silverwood?

or do you just fly into the deck of an american destroyer on that kamaikaze mission?

I'd might be up for Blackhawk but...

But as the forcast now stands, I'll pass on the Devil's Canyon / Siverwood Lake gamble.

Vehicle Needed

So who wants to fly Blackhawk Friday who has a vehicle with enough ground clearnace and traction?

We still need a driver. Maybe Wally is available?

Vehicle w/ ground clearance

My Toyota SUV was recalled ( Another PR scandal 900,000 faulty 6 cyl engines ) ..........they are giving me a new motor.

I've only my Camry as backup.

Friday may be a big teaser

Wind may be to strong from South to launch Blackhawk.
Garlock shows good lift but winds seem a bit stiff for my taste.
Mt Laguna may be a fun place Friday.
In spite of the inversion, it also looks like a good day to fly Crestline to Keller Peak and get real high there.
I may opt to stay local but think about going OTB from Keller.
