I wonder if Jonny were to lose the camera whether his comp performance would improve? I've watched his rankings drop as he's gotten more involved in playing aerial MC. I know from my own experience when I don't have any camera on board, whether passively mounted or actively aimed, my flying improves markedly. Just knowing it's there and thinking about putting on a show is distracting and leads to mistakes.

There's no question that Durand's talents are stellar and that he makes a great sports commentator and has reached a new plateau with his video work. I just don't think it's helping his results. OTOH - It would be a great loss to the rest of us if he stopped, so I'm awfully glad that he's stepped it up a notch. I just offer this as a word of caution to others.

There's also the time and energy that goes into editing, uploading and hosting that leads to lost sleep. It's great to share experiences with others and a noble pursuit as well but it comes at a price. With that in mind, I wonder if anyone donated to his cause? I have stopped short of holding my hat in my hand.

BTW - It's good to hear from Peter S. Post more often!
