Crestline Soaring Society

I would just like to say thanks for all the hospitality, to all the people that were at AJ and Marshall this last weekend. Myself (Jeff)and Mark Knight made the trip from Phoenix to meet up with Bruce Cowan (big white van) at AJ this weekend for flying and camping. All the people we encountered were great. The questioned was often ask "why would you come here when you guys have Mingus?" Well, you have Green stuff in your LZ and 65* temps! Your flying site rivals any site that I have been to. The atmosphere at the lz was great. Mark flew Saturday after the local crowd launch, Bruce and I passed. The flying Sunday afternoon was superb (cloud base is always great). For those that are wondering, Mingus is good all summer as long as the Monsoon is in check, launch early before OD. There will be a Fly-in over Labor day so keep it in mind.
