My final approach and the wind speed and direction 300' over the LZ:

The surface wind was catabatic and was already blowing downhill along the surface, so I landed with a 2-3MPH crossing tailwind. Oops!

Classy pilot (Dog Poop)? Nice vid's and good meeting you at launch. Turned out to be a fun day. I landed at Lake Diaz in Owens and ate horse poop, so I cant critique. Fortunately no one had camera.

Great day to meet people

It was great to meet you and many other flyers in the flesh at last. Too many people have been "virtual" for me. At least I materialized for a while before I got swept off. The help I got on launch was A+. I hope the Turkey Meet brings us some nice, soarable weather. That doggy doo was pretty dried out. I actually didn't hit it but I looked down and saw it under my base bar so made a good photo op. Now, a fresh, steaming horse or cow pie would be another story. ;-)

I know a pilot who, in the seventies, fluttered and crashed his Rogallo wing into a pile of manure and dipped in chest deep. It saved his life, literally.
