Anyone going out today 11/2?Looks pretty gray..... and cold.... any brave or desperate souls going out to AJ today to see if it clears? Hard to tell from the Crestline station and the Marshal web cam I guess. I did look at the University web cam and that looked clearer but.... I didn't have a ride out planned either. Anyhow we found a used car yesterday to replace the one that died so I won't have to rely solely on the kindness of others to get out to the park. I am thinking about taking a day off this week if the conditions are good. I just can't go that long, the jones is too intense. Chris Iffy WeatherFor what it's worth, the frontal passage makes Tuesday iffy, followed by north winds for a couple of days. Friday might be light offshore or might switch to onshore/upslope. Weekend should be flyable. Here's a grain of salt, too. Good Flying, Tuesday Afternoon: NWS expects NE winds by Wed. morning, Santa Ana event appearing stronger, may last into Saturday AM.  maybe Wednesday.....I was looking at the crystal ball (AKA the socal soaring predictor) and thinking that I might get lucky on Wednesday before it goes North. I was thinking about a backpacking trip this weekend but if I don't get some airtime before Friday flying trumps hiking.... I can hike in any weather!
