Wed 10/29

About 8 hangies (no panties) flew on a pretty fun day. I easily flew for 2hrs reaching 7000. One pilot (Chris Palmer) reported 7100 on his sport. Took off Crestline at around 2 immediately climbed to about 500 over. Saw Eric Delf heading for Billboard so
decided to follow. Sunk out badly and had to work the spines in front of billboard. Absolutely no lift kept sinking until I decided to head for the LZ. Sank all the way across the canyon.
Came in low over regionals and found just enough lift to maintain couple of minutes. Flew over to cloud nothing happening there getting very low at this point. Turned back to the 750 and about 200 over hooked a really nice one and climbed to 5000. Drifted back
to Crestline where I rejoined the group. Mark, Kim, and Eric, Chris, and another pilot on a multi colored wing believe his name was Paul. Flew to Billboard and climbed to 7000 drifting deep over the back. Flying the Talon, so wasn't too concerned. At 3:30
decided to call it quits as we had to do a turn around to get my truck. Left pretty good lift at Crestline and flew to Marshall then out over College to bleed off altitude. 4:00 almost no wind in LZ
Started my final little to high and had to make a big S turn to
make things right. Nice approach, but flared late landing on belly and wheels. (Love them wheels.) 10,000 ft total altitude gain.

Cool Report - wish I could fly during the week!!

Hey Jack, Chris here, cool report. I cant wait for my first long flight and big air - if you are going out to AJ this weekend I could use a lift....Gas and incentives... I should have my transportation problem resolved by next week I hope!

Chris

Weekend

I'm grounded this weekend. Looks like weather might be an issue
as well.
