Arrived at launch at 11:00. Blowing in consistently. Took our time setting up as back flag was also giving good indication. 12:00 first paraglider took off. Conditions were weak and he struggled low in front of the E for several minutes before coring a flight saving thermal. About 12:20 back flag began to show signs of a blow down. Launch winds began to diminish and started cycling.
Everyone began suiting up. First hangglider (Mike Harper in his saturn) launched around 12:30. Mike launched into a nice cycle that allowed him to work the house thermal and climb above launch.
The rest of us followed shortly thereafter. Thermal conditions were weak and four of us were low at the E together. I got there first and was able to core up high enough to stay out of the fray.
Other three sledded to new LZ. Saw paraglider starting to climb behind launch so I gambled and left the weak lift I was in.
Found a solid core and climbed to 4000. Paragliders had climbed to about 1000 above me. My two fellow hanggies were struggling below me. Saw Mike Quinn doing well on his pantie behind the ranches so I started over and found strong lift climbing to 7600. After what seemed long time Mickey and Mike Harper climbed up to my altitude.
We flew with our fellow Eteamers (Dave Biddle and Jim Gray) who were piloting sailplanes this day. Made my first landing at about 2:30 in Everdays LZ. Everyday spiraled down and showed me wind direction. Conditions were excellent for landing. Setup high and stayed just behind the adjacent street (Hayes). Landing was perfect and my fellow pilots gave me pat on back and fresh toilet paper. Hoorah! no longer a virgin.

Good flying Jack

A great day to fly the E. I also had to struggle for a few minutes out in front of the E cone. But I stayed with it and got rewarded with a nice climb. I finally got to 7400' msl.
It was fun flying with the sailplanes. I landed after 2 hrs and 15 min at the new LZ. I flew today and it wasn't nearly as good as yesterday. I got to 3850' msl. One of the sailplane pilots from yesterday brought out his hang glider and flew today. A bit more bumpy today. I ended up at home after an hour and a quarter. Fun flying.

Piece of cake

It looked like a sled ride to me but I was ok with that as long as I got my first landing at "Everyday's Flight Park". I launched and headed to the house thermal and was welcomed with 300 up. It was just starting to turn on and soon everyone was at 6K plus. I kept following Jack as he was always in better air. As soon as I would top out where Jack WAS, I would look for him and he would be down the ridge and another grand higher. Since I thought is was going to be a sledder I didn't dress so I only had a t-shirt on. I topped out just shy of 7800 where the temp was 56. buuurrrrr. all good things come to an end so after a couple hours I headed for the LZ. From 7 grand Mike's LZ looks really really small, it didn't look any bigger at 500 feet. Trees on 2 and 1/2 sides and a hill on the other, yikes. The landing was fine but I suspect it will take a few more landings there before I feel comfortable.
