"Let me start off by saying that Marshall has been off the hook over the last few days. Since Monday, pilots have been getting up between 8-10k routinely. The best part is that the weather is forecasted to stay exactly the same way until this coming Monday. This weekend could be awesome!"

"The schedule for Saturday will be changed to allow those pilots who are attending the church memorial service for Rob Kells, which is to be held in Chino Hills at 10:30 in the morning. I’m canceling the GPS class that was scheduled at 9 a.m. since there just isn’t enough time for pilots to attend the class and still make it to the service. On Saturday the pilot briefing will take place on launch at 1 p.m. and I will have a pretty good idea of the task outlines for the day, but I will still need the task committee members to meet with me as soon as you arrive on launch to finalize the tasks. The task board should be up by 1:15 and if everything goes right we should have a race start time of 2:15. I’ll be on launch by 12:30, so if you’re able to get there a bit early it will definitely help with check-in. The BBQ that is planned for the fly-in starts at 4 p.m. and runs to 6 or 6:30. With some luck we can get a great task in and still have plenty of time to make it to the LZ and load up a plate. Be prepared, there will a lot of people showing up for the fly-in; parking will be crazy. Plan on hanging around in the LZ after your flight, there’s plenty of entertainment planned for the evening."
