AJ Sat.

If you are planning to attend the AJ/Rob Kells memorial fly in this Sat, please bring a shade structure if you have one. I know there will be a lot of non pilots there and a place to sit out of the sun will be greatly appreciated. Xtra fold up chairs also needed.

Thanks,

Brad Hall

It was good

I will be out tomorrow. Want to meet up if Rob isn't doing an early enough trip? I think we should leave the LZ no later than 1.

Might be able to ride up with Rob later for a retrieve. How many gliders can you fit on your car?

email or call me if needed

see you tomorrow

I rangled up a driver (wife & kids).

We'll meet you in the LZ at 1:00. I have room for 3 total including me.

Here's my number: (925) 570-7629.

Take care,
Chris

go early

Dave,

If I could make it out today, I'd be leaving the LZ before noon, if not 11. It looks just like it did yesterday on the RUC Skew-Ts... after about 2 there's a slight inversion at the higher altitudes that may lower things, but you may get a nice 10K around noon-1. Looking forward to the details tonight.

yup

Didn't get off the hill until about 3 and it was inverted, like a typical summer day. Still nice soaring though. I got 6200ish and Chris got around 7000.

So no 10k, but I did get the remote shutter for my still camera built and working. Flew with the camera on my boom and got a couple of pretty cool pictures:

Thanks for posting the photo.

Training workers for a future glider packing business. 20 bucks per wing.

Good day today, albeit not 10K. Earlier would have been better. 6.8-7.3 K was a bit turbulent, below 5K like an evening glass off, very smooth with lots of lift. Crestline-Pine-Sugarpine-Pine-BB, Freeway, Marshall... 2 hours of fun with just a few of us out. Looking forward to Saturday.
