Lessons Learned

Dusty was VERY patient waiting for me to finish setting up, even when I started hanging a camera mount on the cross bar. Thanks, again, Dusty! Feeling the pressure to let him launch, I forgot to mount my vario. Crap! After I was aloft, I remembered I had not changed the menu setting for the standby time for the light meter, so the camera was effectively dead. O.K!! Also, I allowed the camera problem to distract me long enough to get lower than I normally would before leaving the ridge. Fly The Wing First! Luckily, I found other opportune lift during the transit to Cloud Peak and made the LZ with elevation to spare. After trying for Marshall and not quite making altitude, I landed without any damage to equipment (with the possible exception of wounded pride), and realized I had a blast, anyway! Joel work to live, don't live to work

Re:Wed Glass Off - Aug 6?

You bet we are!! Landing area at 5:15 pm...or fly, with a ride back up to Crestline about 7:30 or 8pm

And it was GREAT

Just what the doctor ordered ;-)

Thank you Dave & Sherri for the luxo ride; Megret & Whack for the coordination & inspiration!
