Crestline Soaring Society

I arrived at launch at 12:00. Blowing in at 8-12. Back flag was still blowing in, so I waited. By 1:00. It was still the same. No birds. hmmm. I saw the back flag start to blow down real weak at 1:10. I launched at 1:15 into 3-8 mph straight in. Went to house thermal and got up to about 1K over. Went out to the E cone and got up to 5300' msl. (2400' over). Went out back to the rock piles, (Elsinore Peak), and got to 6K. Still blowing in on launch at 2:15. Went SE to the South Towers. Got back to 6 K. (never got under 5K.) Got back to launch at 2:45. (I had to top land to get my car). I flew around for another half hour working the house thermal and cone. It finally blew down at 3:00, and from 5200' msl I started my decent to top land. I had a great top landing at 3:15 at my car to make a great 2 hour flight. Overall a smooth day. Lift to 750 fpm. No collapses. I like it!
