Marshall, Saturday July 5

Flyable all day from 10:30am to 7pm.
William and others were already soaring above Marshall when I arrived on launch after 11am.
I flew from 11:30am to 12:30, took a long lunch break, then flew from 5 to 7pm: On that late afternoon flight (details) I flew back to Crestline then went back and forth to Pine twice. Max altitude of 6200'.
Inversions don't prevent having fun.

XC Elsinore to Lake Isabela

Mangaged to go XC from Elsinore to over Crestline LZ at 5K and then up into the high desert and over El mirage then around Tahachapi and their TFR (fires) and to a landing at Lake Isabela, with out ever getting over 9K! Then after lunch, I made a return XC all the way back to Elsinore. Not a bad Sunday. By the way it was in a Cessna. Anyway now that I got your attention, I have been talking to the officers at the Lake Elsinore Soaring Club (Sailplanes) about offering discounted flights and or memberships to any HG or PG pilots that wants to still fly Elsinore but are put off by the LZ situation. Hopefully something will change with the LZ or alternatives might be found but in the meantime you can still get good airtime there in sailplanes while expanding your flying experiences. For info give me a call at 951-244-0786 or check out their website. See you in the air, Alan
