Thanks Mike Zeller & the usual suspectsThere's a firstI may be knew to the boards, but I am betting that's the first reference to the bondage crowd on these boards. Or, maybe you're just referring to how tightly you pack that shiny new falcon of yours.... LOL. ;) Yes, Thank you very much!I tested one fully yesterday. It was gusting into the low 20's and my glider was rock solid. Dusty |

Tie-Downs
Tuesday 5/27 Tried to give away the ropes on Marshall, thinking they had been dropped by someone at setup, 'til I realized they wuz ay-tached to th' earth....DOH!!! Thanks, guys!!Surplus fluid management is a lot easier, knowing your bird is on a leash (bit of a sop to the bondage crowd, there).
Dusty launched while the paras waited for a lull. I got my harness straightened out, then Rob gave me a hang check. Dusty was clear, so I stepped off into 62 minutes of SU-F*&%#-BLIME lift. When the rookie gets his first hour flight, it must be good. Worked up over the top of Marshall 3 or 4 times before I tried some diving turns and then a speed run down the mountain at a screaming 32 mph, to see if I could. I must remember to fly the bird to the deck, and not worry about flaring in wind, but,DAMN, what a day!WOOHOO!!
