Crestline Soaring Society

Wow, what a day. I launched the E and got drilled to Grand Av in 12 min. I drove back up and saw Dave Beardsley in front of Edwards launch, so I stopped there and found it blowing in at 8-12 mph. I set up and launched. I went left and went up. Then up some more. Next thing I know I'm at 10K back over the candy store. So I pointed that way and was going 40 mph west. I ended up just short of Caspers Park. I thought I had the best flight of the day. Turns out there were two other PG's that were ahead of me. One made it to the 5 freeway and the other just past Caspers park. One PG flew to Hidden Valley then to French valley airport, then north past Perris and then back to Elsinore. He had no instuments but said he looked down to see parachutists jump out of the plane about 1K below him. 13K? The saying goes if you want to get high don't put on a jacket. He was in a T shirt. One hang flew to Vail lake.
