Got to Marshall and it was gusting to 25 with a steady 15+ Owen and Hoffman were already in the air pointing mostly one direction.
I launched my hangglider last around 5:00 just expecting to take my late sled and go home.
After ridge soaring for a half an hour I headed to cloudland to hang out.
Somewhere over the wedding reception place in the canyon I found something I could turn left into.
I kept doing that until I was half way back and level with Crestline.
Shot over to bill board and took the windy elevator to maybe 500 over.
Pointed toward Pine and thought to my self lets see how far this goes before I get that "sinking feeling" and have to bail. That feel never came. I ended up at pine and maybe lost a hundred feet. O-sure it took forever to get there but hey I'm counting this as an extended sledder at this point.
Played at Pine for awhile then noticed I was 500 over. Nice!
Did I mention that the visibility was great, Really Great!
Any way, I took my 500 and headed for the park next to the 215 fwy. I think it didn't take much more than that to put me over the freeway because I was still almost level with Billboard.
The sun was threatening to set; so I did some wangs high over the fwy to let the commuter’s know there IS a life out there.
Headed to the LZ and landed at 7:00 just as the sun was setting.
Wow a 2 hour sled!
With hind sight the lift was Ridge, Thermal, and Glass-Off.
And this Glass-Off was Big like Saboba Big.
What a nice flight that didn't interrupt the work day…Shweeet!

Go Dusty!
The goddess was making amends. You deserved a great flight after enduring that Sunday the 13th rip off when you were kind enough to test the air while the rest of us launch lizards waited for someone to be brave.
So it was sweet all the way to the freeway. I'm sure the commuters appreciated your exploits.
The bouyant afternoons are coming back!
