Marshall Peak & Surounding Next WeekendI'm bringing a goup of about 5 of us next week March 27th. We will be ready to fly starting Friday March 28th but have never been to Marshall or the surrounding areas before. I'm hoping to find someone who would be able to help us out with some site info. Most of us are P3 or advanced P2 pilots. Someone emailed me a while back but I lost his number. Thanks, Forums > General & Newbie Questions Flight > PG Sites > Crestline · Marshall · Soboba · Other Local News > Local Flying Site Guide neededWe've never been there before & are looking someone to guide us around. We really want to fly Marshall but just want to fly wherever it's working so we really need someone to tell us where to go & point us the way. Many thanks!!! T.Lee Site Intro neededWe really want to fly Marshall but more than that, we want to fly wherever it's working. So anybody who can give us the heads up would be great. We are staying at a hotel in Onterio and will have at least 1 maybe 2 vehicles. Thanks a bunch! T.Lee Good News... Challenging NewsThe good news is ours is a friendly site and we welcome hang glider and paraglider pilots equally and enthusiastically. Day use fees are a scant $10... worth it for the green grass to pack your wing on, alone, IMO, not to mention the gentle touchdown. The challenging news is, unless I am mistaken, for the Novice pilots to fly the site they will need an instructor signoff. Rob McKenzie, one of the instructors, is in Florida. Hopefully, Atmosphere paragliding school will be available: Heck, I've even seen their van down the street from me, as they fly down Huntington Beach in their PPGs. Good luck, have fun! Thanks,Sounds good, we're looking foward to getting some airtime and have heard nothing but good stuff about Marshall & the surrounding areas. We have 1 guy in our group who is a P2 pilot but we have one of instructors who will be with him. I'm still going to try & contact Atmosphere pg school & keep looking for other site into people just incase Marshall isn't working. Thank you again for the pointers! T.Lee We'll be there too, looking to carpool up to launch...Jeff Shapiro and I are driving down flying Friday through Monday. Since Rob Mc. is out of town, we're looking to hook up and car pool up to launch. My cell is below. We should be arriving very late Thursday or mid morning Friday. |

info
What kind of info do you need? Everything you need to fly should be on this web site. Did you just want a local to give you the grand tour? Need a ride up?
I would be more than happy to give you guys the tour, but I will be in Florida (Wallaby, Demo Days!!) next weekend. If its flyable there will be people out though. Check forecast at www.weather.com for San Bernardino, CA. Any wind direction but North should be a flyable day. Sometimes winds are a bit strong for PGs until later in the day.
Have fun!
