soboba road condition
a few months ago ( just before the rains ) i tried to go up the front road on my motorcycle with my wing and a trible police officer was standing outside of his car at the gate. i spoke with him and he let me know that without an indian with me i wasent going in. on the way back to the lz i was stopped by 2 more trible cops. ( all were very nice and sympathetic to my plight but would not let me go on th reservation. )if they dont see you and the home owners at the base of the road area dont call then who knows ??? the last time i went up there the road was in really good shape and a 2wd would have no problem. you can allways stay legal and go in from the 243 on the way up to idylwild or snake your way up the many roads from banning. having a drive would be good if you go up from the 243 as its a good hour retrieve.
