Marshall 1/29/08

nice

I like that #11 pic... the gliders look like snow on top of marshall... all are good snaps.

Short flight today for me, but it was offset by the pure glee of no traffic either direction all the way from/to Huntington Beach

Nice going to cloudbase and

Nice going to cloudbase and above on a couple of mid-afternoon flights. Fun having the Morningside crowd and a passel of local pilots out enjoying the conditions.

ESE to SE at the 750 and on Marshall in the morning, mostly sleddy. S to SW in the afternoon and soarable if you didn't run into some of the big sink right after launch. Cold but only biting up at cloudbase, which was 5100 at Noon, rising to 5300 after 14:00.

Mostly SSE <5 in the LZ, when there was ANY breeze, all day. Mostly it was still down there.

Good Flying,
Ken Howells
