Cheers to the peeps behind the successful fly-inWhat a fun day. Thanks to Dianne for running yet another excellent Fly-In. Thanks to Cathy Rhodes and Dorothy Morse and all else who did so much work to make the day so fun. I was gobsmacked, in the air, to see so many Hang Gliders in my field of vision at Crestline. I uploaded a pic of the launch. Mind you, there are about 4 gliders behind the camera and a half dozen waiting for a spot to set up.
I think a special thanks is in order to the Morse family for the Goodyear Blimp sized slip-n-slide, delivered and setup even though Owen is in completely the wrong time zone today. Dorothy broke that thing down like a champ and, while the raffle was going on, Hannah and Helen took turns crawling *inside* the tube section of the inflatable pool, in the dark, drying it out. What commandos! I told them, and I mean it, I want my daughter to grow up to be like them. Too bad the next fly in isn't till next spring, this club throws a mean one. Food was good
The food was great (I like tasty chicken a lot) and worked really well to feed a hungry crowd quickly. Thanks for the salad, it made the meal complete. Let's go this style next flyin too!
