Sad News - Paul MacCready passesI just got news that Paul MacCready passed away last week. Paul was a huge inspiration to me personally, and I was lucky enough to meet him on one occasion at Caltech. Forums > BS (Banter Section) News > Offbeat Flying soonGood question, We have two kids now, so that changed the equation. We sold the truck with the hang glider racks on it. Then we bought a car that can carry all of us. I asked a guy at the beginning of the summer to build me an adapter plate for the trailer hitch so I could put a post there to support the wings, and the guy totally bailed. So basically, we were unable to fly this summer because this knucklehead didn't drill 5 holes in a piece of metal for me. Gerrrr. So I need to get the piece back from him, and get it fabricated somewhere else. Once I do that, we're flying again! |
