Crestline to El Mirage 09-01-07I launched at 11:30 from Crestline and stay local for about half an hour waiting for HGs. East direction was very limited for XC, because there was obvious overdevelopment. Thanks for HGs, they show a good way to get out into the desert. Then I just stay on the cloud street (NW from Crestline), pass I-15 and then follow highway 18. My best altitude was 13K. The problem was another overdevelopment in the mountains (on my left), which moved into the desert and push my deeper right from my course. Small (local) rains and few lightings start and process start to accelerate, so I must land to avoid a front gusts. It came about 15 minutes later after I landed and packed my glider. It was a great day for XC. I made 41km NW from Crestline. Klaus, thanks for for retrive. http://www.paraglidingforum.com/modules.php?name=leonardo&op=show_flight&flightID=10576 Forums > Pilot Reports Flight > PG Sites > Crestline
