Elsinore, Fri the 17thI arrived at launch at 11:30 and found it blowing straight in at 6-10 mph. The back flag was blowing down, (from the west). John Pitt launched at 12:05 and I launched at 12:10. Followed soon by Mike Quinn and Brian Dahl. Didn't take long to get to 6K msl. John took off across the lake. Quinn followed while Brian and I tried to get a little higher. We crossed the lake when we got to a little over 6K. On the other side of the lake Mike got real low and was set up to land when he caught a good thermal about 150' agl. He took it to 7K. Long story short. We all flew to Soboba and landed. I flew for 2 hrs and 45 min. No windshields were broken. Forums > Pilot Reports Flight > PG Sites > Elsinore |
