Wednesday afternoon

Launched Marshall around 3:20 headed to Cloud as thermals were drifting that direction. THe first one took me up to 4800 just at the bottom of the inversion the next one that came thru, 5300 and thru the inversion. It got pretty bumpy there and cooled off quickly. I drifted back toward Crestline but the thermal broke up half way over the canyon. Back over Cloud and nothing was there, floated over to Regional, nada, headed toward 750 and found another that drifted over regional back up to 4900. Cloud was working nicely. After 45 minutes decided to head toward LZ and ran into this huge thermal I couldn't get out of, so I rode it back up to 5000 and headed for the college. Promised the wife I'd be home by 6. Got little over an hour with very little effort. Landed as the McBus was leaving for the 4:30 trip to Marshall and a load of PG pilots were heading up as well.....
