Stupid ankle!So... yeah. I managed to give myself a "grade 3" sprain on my right ankle at the rock climbing gym this evening. Odds are I won't be flying for at least a week, maybe two, maybe more, depending. Going to see my GP/an orthopedic dude tomorrow to see what more I need to do about it, get the orthopedic dude to confirm I haven't completely messed up any ligaments, etc. LAME. I guess I was overdue for a trip to the ER anyways, and at least this is a comparatively minor thing. I expect good flight reports to tide me over while I can't fly! Forums > BS (Banter Section) Flight > Incidents Sites > Elsewhere News > Pilots Climbing GymThose Darn Rock Gyms are full of hazards. Rope up next time..... Mark Bouldering. Lame, I know.Sadly, I twisted it bouldering, and came off the wall at most 3 feet from the ground. It was just one of those, "weight in the wrong spot at the wrong time" type things. Oh well. Great Time to put together contest.Kim Floyd Hey Pete, As dusty said "bummer", however this might be a great time to put together the contest. Tiger Mountain group has an article a couple of years ago on their contest call Tiger Tag may be worth contacting them or finding the article? I am sure that Brian P. will help you with this. Regards Ya What he saidSorry to hear about your ankle. Let me know what I can do with the comp. I have all of the waypoints and I think that you and I came up with good preliminary guidelines for the comp. |

Bummer!!!
See!
All of my biggest injures have also occurred near or on the ground.
This leads to my theory.
To be absolutely safe one should spend as much time as possible in the air. Preferably in the middle of the air not to close to the edges.
Heal Fast my friend..
And for god sake get back in the air where its Safe
