Me 'n' my Sensor

RC Dave is a Wheeler Dealer. I traded him 18 Sling Wings for a Sensor 510 and $1. But I gave Wisconsin Paul $20 for gas to take me to Dave's place to get it.
So who got the best deal?
Was it Dave? He got 18 test flown Sling Wings for $1 and and an 'obsolete' Hang Diver.

I got a Piece of Hang Gliding history.

Way back when, I was hangin' tough with Bob Trampenau at his place, tokin' on the peace pipe and brainstormin' HG designs and tossin' paper divers across the room.

I watched as the 510 took shape, the first deflexorless double-surfaced Sensor.
Bob stressed his back pullin' a glider out of the bag.
Couldn't fly.
Jeff Huey and I jumped in and flew the prototype, at the Mesa and later from La Cumbre.
Helped build a 'tower' on the big Buick Electra, serving a noble purpose of determining pitching moments before Jeff and I had to. Even then, some of my most exciting moments in this wunnerful sport.
Finally, after all these years, I'm the Proud owner of a Sensor. She may be an old hag at the age of 22, But She's all Sensor, 100% American made Seedwings.
And she's mine.
