Ron Dogget is Gone

News has come to us that former CSS member Ron Dogget has passed away from a heart attack while napping on a work break. Ron was a great guy and an avid HG pilot, hanging his towering frame under a tandem wing or his UltraSport 166 and tearing up the sky. He put his construction know-how to work for the club from time to time. He lost a leg to a blood clot, but that didn't keep him down for long. He changed his CSS forum username from 'skydog' (IIRC) to 'pegleg' - that's the kind of spirit he had. He rigged up his glider with wheels and rolled off Marshall a number of times, but found landing on wheels in the LZ difficult since there was no good way to control his heading once he was rolling and not flying. He moved on to powered ultralights to keep getting airtime.

A true Gentle Giant, Ron was missed when he stopped hang gliding, and now we'll miss him even more. I'm sure plenty of CSS members have great stories about Ron.
