Marshall, Wed. 7 Feb 07

More overcast and about 5 degrees cooler than Tuesday.
Base wind about 10 MPH. Soarable at Marshall by 10:30, some ridge, some thermals. Wind increased a little but didn't get gustier. During my Noon and 14:00 flights I found thermals were drifting to the NW, i.e. from below Cloud to in front of Regionals, instead of the usual NE. Marshall launch hadn't been particularly S, for some reason. It glassed off around 3:30, and the late-day air was quite murky. Cool enough at Marshall to wear jackets while setting up, even in the sun.

Don't know what kind of altitudes other pilots were getting - seemed like I was always rushed to get down to keep up with the schedule, so I never tried to get up or fly for long.

Not a bad day for February, actually.
