Show of Support Needed at Elsinore on Saturday, 6 Jan.

A large turnout at EHGA's Memorial Meet Saturday (6 Jan) could make a big difference in countering the latest twist in the ongoing struggle to retain use of the LZ. The EHGA has a Prescriptive Easement granting their (our) use of the landing area, but the club has just received a letter from the landowner declaring that they are not allowed to use the LZ any longer. There will likely be representatives of local agencies present on Saturday and the more pilots who show up to fly the stronger the EHGA's case will appear.

Saturday will have moderate to strong NE winds, so Elsinore will be the place to be anyway.

details about the prescriptive easement

Is there a place online where we can read up on the details of the legal battle? All I could find on the ozreport was about the transmission lines and a slight mention of the LZ problems.

TIA

EHGA and the property owners are currently engaged in two lawsuits pending before Riverside County Superior Court Judge Stephen D. Cunnison, Department and which are captioned above.. One filed in 2004 by EHGA to enforce the settlement agreement (Specific Enforcement) and the other filed in 2006 by CKS Concordia Development L.L C. seeking (Declaratory Relief) on the settlement agreement. A Motion for Summary Judgment filed by the property owners was recently denied by the Court. These two cases are set for trial February 5, 2007.

Above listed is ongoing and very complicated for us
E-Teamers.

Happy to come out, but need site intro.

I've been meaning to get out to the E and check it out/fly there, but haven't yet from a slight intimidation factor. I'm a P2 pilot, with 40 flights and 25 hours flight time so far, all at Marshall/AJ airpark.

I'd love to come out and show some support, but anybody around to show me the ropes/answer any questions I might have? Primarily just want to check out the site, only going to fly if I'm actually feeling comfortable with things.

Regardless, I hope this all works out for the best!

Site intro to Elsinore

Yes, there will plenty of people to give you a site intro. You will have a chance to talk to some of the worlds best pilots who fly Elsinore all the time.
Come on out and show your support for one of the best flying sites.

Elsinore

Hey Pete,

Mike_E is right, Elsinore is world class.
I will be there tomorrow for club support, come out and vist.
You would get a kick out of this site.
If the flying does not pan out Saturday, you and I should make plans to fly there. I believe you have the skills needed and would have no problems flying there.
Its a great north wind launch.

Dusty

Sounds good to me.

Dusty,

Sounds good to me. Let's shoot for that some weekend soon. I sadly didn't make it out today, due to a wicked hangover as a result of poker night at our place last evening. Hope it went well!

This weekend? (1/10, 1/11)

Hey Dusty,

If it's looking like north winds this weekend, and Elsinore looks good, you around to fly E and show me a thing or two?

-pete

EHGA has won a court order

EHGA has won a court order. The man has given us some rules listed below. Please don't jeopardize the site. Below listed simple note from EHGA lawyer. The rules are for the LZ. The defendants have been in the LZ confronting pilots to use against EHGA.. Thanks for helping. Spike

Each pilot must:
1. Be a member of the USHGA and EHGA to obtain insurance coverage. and have his/her card with them at all times while at the LZ
2. Make sure any EHGA pilot is qualified as an intermediate/advance pilot AND that it is on the membership card.
3. Have signed the waiver/indemnity agreement AND provided it to me so I can notify defense counsel by providing copies.
4. Make sure that there is only one driver and vehicle for each qualified EHGA pilot.
