Elsinore XC meetThe following is from the E Team web site. Spike said the proceeds are going to help the fight to save the LZ. Also heard there is a party afterwards with live music. Should be fun! www.theeteam.org Forums > Events & Site Projects |

Elsinore Mon. 18th
A very good day at Elsinore. Yesterday was good too. Some people, (3 or 4), came within 100' over the LZ and hit one to 7500' msl, with major sink before that. There was a LOT of sink. I can attest to that, twice. Doh. Today tho, I launched at 11:45 and went straight to the house thermal and got in it. 2 min later I was 500 over. It went on from there to almost 9K msl. (according to the other PG and 3 hang pilots). Froze my......fingers off, almost. I went to school bus ridge and then back SE to the south towers. Then went way back behind launch to the rock piles. Stayed between 5 and 6 K most of the time. (warmer)! An un-eventful landing near the tree at 2:55 capped off a great flight. 3 hrs, 10 min. Good, strong lift to over 1000 fpm. (snot rockets). Kinda bumpy, ok, Medium bumpy. Good day tho.
