Launch 1230 immed climb to 75 at the BB. head out to pine and got drilled down to 42. back to crestlineand its a chore to stay at ridge height. hmmm. finally saw the tipped over truck and closed hiway. watta mess. figured all the lift must be kicking off early out front and leaving crestline w/the dregs. cloud pk loosed a healthy climb through 7. I look west and there's another glider. who could that be. road closed..h,mmm. i dial the radio to 144120. Bill? is that you? doggone right. turns out he had to fly to crestline to get out of the rain. he's at 75 and beelining towards the desert. ok,me too. I stop over VOE to climb to 8k then again nw of silverwood to 9. 10 miles later, hooked a fatty to cloudbase at 13k flew buoyant air to 2 miles west of 14 fwy on ave S. attached igc track. notice headwind at landing and final approach angle.
