I have a beginner paragliderI have a beginner paraglider from 1990 it glided like a parachute but its like new for sale or trade for lesson I see mostly rocks and catus and line grabbing bushes! Thinking of getting some newer equipment, any recommondations? Forums > General & Newbie Questions Flight > PG · Learning |

It ain't so new anymore
A paraglider from 1990 probably isn't like new anymore, even if it has not come out of its bag since. Line shrink at different rate (affecting trim) and the fabric deteriorates even without sun exposure.
Most likely that wing should be trashed or only used for ground training, and then again those old wings were difficult to inflate (get overhead) by today's standards.
Get yourself a recent (not more than 3 year-old) DHV 1 or low-end DHV 1-2 wing and enjoy a much easier wing to inflate/kite, better performance and safer than your old like-new 1990 wing.
That's my recommendation.
