Lost Flytec Propeller Airspeed Indicator

I was flying Marshall on Saturday the 21st and I lost my Airspeed indicator. I launched from Marshall around 4:45 (without my indicator). I remember not putting it on my glider and mindlessly flying without it. If anyone has found it please email me or give me a call at:

I have a beginner paraglider

I have a beginner paraglider from 1990 it glided like a parachute but its like new for sale or trade for lesson
.thinking of getting back into glideing best place to get lessons .
I am from new york where we had smooth grass hills any smooth places around here?

I see mostly rocks and catus and line grabbing bushes!

Thinking of getting some newer equipment, any recommondations?

New 'kid' on the block

New 'kid' on the block. Starting to learn to paraglide this summer. Not off the ground yet, ...well maybe 100' at under ten! Lessons from Claude Fiset of Ojai & Malibu (www.skywalker.com) continue. Determined to launch off of our Smiley Park ridge in 6 months or less. You guys are a lot closer so I'd love to hear from you. Especially anyone NOT weekends, when I work. May have seen my name on 330, ..adopted 8 miles of it.

People fly Crestline seven days a week, weather permitting, so it is usually easy to get site information and a ride up the hill. This website's Pilot's Forum is a good means of getting current information, if you can plan in advance or have web access while here. There are a few flight schools which operate nearly every day and they are good sources of information for visiting pilots and for obtaining day memberships and sign-offs if needed. We have an online weather station and webcam installed near the Crestline launch and also have a Windtalker installed at the Crestline 'Top Town' intersection which provide wind information to pilots considering a trip to Crestline; winds between WSW and ESE and under 25 MPH indicate that it is launchable. Visiting pilots who are unfamiliar with the area are strongly advised to contact locals before going up to fly.

Can't say much about Marshall today. I arrived a bit after 2 PM with Helene, Mark, Mark, and Gene. Peter called from the LZ and said JR did indeed want to do an HG tandem, so I flew the Falcon down in 3 minutes. That was fun and ensured our getting to Crestline while it was still going strong.

It was 15-18 at Crestline, with very little variation. We did a two-step launch at 16:48 and soared easily in the ridge lift, with JR doing about average in first-time control ability. At Billboard the thermals that rolled through were a bit torn up and we circled a lot but never got up to the gliders 400 or so above the ridge. Nice glide to Regionals and we decided to head for the LZ, but lingered over the bluffs a bit before diving in to a decent landing at 17:30. My first tandem in almost exactly 2 years, it happens (when my wallet, keys and cellphone fell out of my harness - see 6 June 2004 ). Lots of fun and a perfect day for getting back into tandems.
