archivesIs anybody going to....Is anybody going to fly Elsinore today ? Kevin Sunday August 31 2008 Real Nice Day at AJParagliders started soaring Marshall at 11AM. The last pilot down at 7:15 after the afternoon glass off. A consistent cool breeze at the LZ made glider watching a pleasure all day. It was soarable when we arrived, but I took my time setting up as it seemed everyone was only getting about 300 ft over launch. I was also testing out a new camera/microphone set-up so that took a few minutes to get going. I probably didn't launch until 1:30 but my timing couldn't have been better. Just like yesterday and immediately found the house thermal. It wasn't as strong as yesterday, but it got me to about 5400 and back to Crestline. Got to somewhere around 6000 over Billboard and made my way to pine. It only took me about 20 minutes to complete the Marshall-Crestline-Pine circuit. |
