Crestline Soaring Society

Here's a group of visiting pilots who lucked out during the first week of February, 2008. Most of the group were from the far northeast US, under the guidance of Jeff Nicolay of Morningside Flight Park in New Hampshire. The two pilots seated at the right are Swiss HG instructor Thierry Blatti of Ecole de Vol Libre and his wife.

The days that week were mostly clear and lightly soarable, with clouds developing and cloudbase going up and down.

Full load in the McShuttle and arrive at launch around 12:30 with it blowing over the back. Could see the haze pushing our way so we wait. By 2:00 it's coming straight in. Good flights by all. Good steak dinner afterwards at the local pub.
