Crestline Soaring Society

flight report:
the weather forecast looked favorable for the task I'd been mulling over for a while after Bruce mentioned it a while back. crestline to laguna. my first thought was "ya right" so and I started thinking "what weather conditions would be needed in order to pull it off?" how bout an east meets west convergence with light south later in the day and with the east staving off the seabreeze holding the convergence to the laguna ridge till 5pm.

Before Noon at Marshall it was blowing lightly from E to SSE, some high wispy clouds getting denser as the sun got higher. There were some HG launches from the top SE launch (with long runs and low skims) and launches from the untrimmed S launch down below. I took the regular SW launch in a lull at 10:10, having waited out 10 minutes of 90 degrees cross or more. It was kinda soarable. The next flight, at 11:45, I took the S launch and pushed my basetube through the very tops of the bushes. The clouds were casting light shadows but it was mildly soarable. Some PGs had flown down too.
