Crestline Soaring Society

Yesterday's blown-out winds finally went from papa bear to mama bear today at about 1.

Elsinore had ~10 HG pilots and 3 Para Ps enjoying the ridge soaring.

A friend from hanggliding.org, borrowing the glider of another friend from that site, pounded a landing in with authority... we took crime scene pics of the divots later. It looked like an approach turn stall from my vantage point, but word from the ground was that he was heading into the wind and just stalled it without flaring.

Christmas Day: Areas of blowing dust. Sunny, with a high near 66. Windy, with a north wind 55 to 60 mph decreasing to between 25 and 30 mph. Winds could gust as high as 95 mph!!!!!!!
